Part of my newest TERRA Collection. This necklace is made of brass and sterling silver. The brass piece is initially hand carved in wax and then cast into brass. It is two sided and ONE OF A KIND.
This necklace named after after Sankir, a natural blue pigment found in the earth and used as the initial underpaint tone, which cover the faces and other parts of the body; One would leave the sankir exposed to create the shadow areas.
