WAX CLUB: Open Studio & Wax Carving Practice in Seattle
Dedicated Studio Time, Professional Tools, and Community for Wax Carvers
Have you taken a Lost-Wax Carving or Charm class at Samantha Slater Studio and want dedicated bench time to practice your new skills? Wax Club is an intimate, open-studio monthly program held at my private metalsmithing studio in North Seattle.
Instead of building a home workspace or buying expensive carving supplies, Wax Club provides 4 recurring open-studio sessions with full access to professional jewelry benches, carving tools, and materials—giving you the space, time, and community to bring your custom wax designs to life.
What is Wax Club?
Wax Club is an open-studio community experience - not a step-by-step instructional class. It offers a relaxed environment to practice independent wax carving, test new shapes and charms, and connect with fellow Seattle makers.
Full Studio & Bench Access: Use professional tools, specialized waxes, files, and supplies.
All Materials Included: Carving wax and essential studio supplies are provided for every session.
Intimate Groups: Limited to only 4 spots per session to ensure a cozy, personalized, and spacious experience.
Hands-on Guidance & Support: While there is no formal curriculum, instructor Sam Slater is in the studio during every session to answer questions, help troubleshoot complex designs, and provide technical suggestions.
Upcoming Wax Club Schedule
Sessions run as 4-week monthly cohorts:
January Club: First four Thursdays of January.
February Club: First four Wednesdays of February.
March Club: First four Thursdays of March.
